Hello,

I have a yamaha aventage AVR (rx-a780), the mains channel being pre-outed to an excellent hifi amp (Lyngdorf TDAI-1120). I listen to music with the lyngdorf only.
Now, I feel my tower speakers are a tiny bit light on the bass with HIFI (Kelinac 914MG : 30-22000hz), and l want to connect my sub to them instead of the AVR, see what it will do. I could indicate to the Yamaha I have no sub, so that it will reroute all LF sounds and LFE channel to the mains. The Lyngdorf will do the necessary filtering between towers and sub.
My concerns are as follow : Is it a good way to go about it? if I want more bass when I watch a film then when i listen to music, can I EQ the pre-outs in the AVR for more ? Is there a sub in my price range (500€) that would allow to connect both AVR and receiver, like this one (Velodyne deep blue 12 ) ?
I do 60% music 40% film. I have budget and room for only ONE sub ;-)
Thank you for your help.
