Connecting dvd home cinema and sky to projector

Hi guys I am going to be installing an optoma 2200 projector from my livingroom ceiling and wanted to connect sky and a Sony dvd upscaling surround sound system to it.

I am just wondering what is the best way to connect these up to the projector.

The projector will be quite a distance from the dvd surround sound player and wonder whether it will be possible to connect it via a hdmi cable. I hear they are expensive for a short cable let alone about 15 feet worth.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bluejeanscables says their HDMI cables are good for full 1080p for runs up to 50ft. It looks like a 15 foot run will cost about 40ish after shipping. I haven't used a run this long yet although I will soon when I help my dad with his new HT. You could always contact them and see what they say.
