Connecting Amp to Yamaha HTR-5860

Just moved into a house and inherited a SpeakerCraft multi-channel amp that is connected to multiple in-ceiling speakers.

There are two sets of plugs coming out of amp. I've tried plugging them into the pre-out of a Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver with no success.

A/B speakers are both on, multi zone is on..... getting nothing....

I tried another amp and speakers do work, but I want to use this receiver with the amp...

any suggestions?

When you say it's plugged into the pre-outs of the Yammie, it should be sending sound the the speakers connected to it.

Are you sure the amp works?
