I look at the past subject of this but it didn'T answer my question.

I bought a RX-V1500 and it has pre outs. I want to plug in my 2 Channel Simaudio to it. Where do I connect my CD player... do I send it in the Digital input of the RX-V1500 ? or normal RCA to the Simaudio.

Anyone has a wirering diagram?

Thanks a lot

Yes, connect the CD to the 1500, digital is the way to go.

Then I would go RCA from Pre out from RX-V1500 to the CD input of the Simaudio ? and voila?

Thanks for the help

You connect the output of your CD player to an input on the receiver. You connect the preamp output of your receiver to the input of the power amp. Is that clear enough?

I would try both the analog and digital outputs of your cd player and listen to which one sounds better. You can switch the input mode on the 1500 from analog to digital and do a comparison. Sometimes the DAC of the cd player will sound better than the internal DAC of the receiver.

If your going strictly analog then do as markw said.Analog cd inputs on back of receiver for cd player. If not just connect cd via digital.

I think your message is for me? Waste of time unless you do it properly then it is still a waste of time.

When T$$ did CD comparisons between an RCA $80 player and others costing $1000s, no audible differences.
