There are waaaay more Bruins fans on the east coast than Canucks fans, so there are a lot of happy people out here today. I guess I'll see Lord Stanley's cup again this summer, when Brad Marchand brings it home. I saw Sid the Kid bring it home a couple of years ago.

And, to Vancouverites - you SUCK!!:p You pulled the same sh*t in '94, when you LOST to the Rangers! If you can't stomach the prospect of defeat, just stay home and leave the TV off! And grow up, for f*** sake...

If you aren't ashamed of your city, you should be...

Being a Bruins fan since the days of Orr, I'm very happy to see them score the cup.

GONAD, don't let a few morons in Vancouver spoil it for you. The thing to watch now is how the community is rallying together to clean up the damage that those few assh?les did last night.

To the CBC announcers that announced that series. Your obvious one sided favourtism for Vancouver during this series made me sick. The Sedine sisters were useless, even though you kept endorsing more ice time for them espcially last night. This is the only time I would have to agree with you. Every time the sisters were on the ice, Boston scored.
Next time, show a little less bias in a playoff series. It comes across really unprofeesional. One more note, the Boston team is by far more Canadian than the Vancouver team have all but 9 players being Canadian.

I really didn't have a dog in this fight, being a Leafs fan , so I was torn as to who I'd like to see win the cup. Boston - original six team, Bobby Orr, long drought, etc and I love the city, having visited several times while in the navy. But, Vancouver had never won it at all. So, it was a toss-up.

But having seen all the nonsense from the Canucks, like Burrows with the biting incident, the hit on Horton, the diving and embellishment - they looked like a bunch of soccer players - and then the hit on Chara last night, I'm glad the Bruins won.

You're absolutely right about the bias from the CBC announcers. I guess they were catering to all the bandwagon Canuck fans. "Canada's Team", my a**. I would be willing to bet that there are far more hard core dedicated Bruin fans in Canada than Canuck fans. Most certainly on the east coast - Canuck fans are a lonely bunch out here. The NHL is a city vs city league - nothing to do with nation vs nation, no matter what some might think.

As good a team as Vancouver undoubtedly is, I think it came down to who wanted it more. Luongo's performance didn't help, but the rest of the team didn't do much to compensate. Boston showed lots of heart and determination and deserved to win. I'm happy for Boston fans everywhere.:)

I realize that it's a minority of people who caused the mess last night, but it really gives the city a black eye. I hope the cops pursue every possible lead to track those idiots down.

I'm not a hockey fan, but am a Bostonian so it was nice to see the Bruins win after a long time and especially after seeing the Canucks behavior during the game and the fans afterwards.

Sharks fan here, so it is a little solace to see them get demolished. If you are going to lose, you'd like it to be to the team that goes on to win the cup, but it is also fun to see the team you lost to get crushed at home.
