Depends on the financing deals that you want... last year during Super Bowl Best Buy was offering 3 years no interest on all HDTVs, on top of the reduced prices they were having. There was no way we could pass that up even though my girlfriend and I were still finishing up business school and had no income at the time. If you have the money now, then I would say get something now so you can enjoy it sooner!
I'm personally a big Samsung and Sharp fan- I own one of each- and I think they were both well worth the money.
