Is their much picture quality perks to using HDMI over component as far as video quality goes? Will it help much with muddy-greenish blacks on a Samsung DLP HDTV?

I doubt HDMI will clear up greenish blacks over component. It sounds like you need to calibrate your DLP again. Are these muddy blacks typical of all inputs (dvd, HD, SD, etc...)?

Mainly with DVD is problem apparent.

Mainly with DVD is problem apparent. Thats why I thought it may be the output from the player or the fact that im using 16' component cables. I see a little of this problem over air but its much less noticeable.
