Component cleaning help.

I've got an old Yamaha A720 amplifier as part of my garage stereo set up.
When ever I adjust the volume or gain control (actually any of the rotary knobs), I get a lot of static and I have to fiddle with the knobs to get it to stop.
I think the controls are dirty inside is there any way to clean them?

Hi. You sure can clean them. One initial approach is to blow air in there (compressed air, for example) to see if that clears the debris. I've also seen people here recommend DeOxit for that.
