Component Cables as audio interconnects?

does this make sense from a physics standpoint? I have had experience with cheap (7$) but well built (thick) component cables that give me an excellent picture on my DLP TV. Will these work as well when used as audio interconnects for SACD/DVD-Audio? Don't want the hassle of fiddling around the back of my gear if video cables are constructed differently. I am currently using 2 foot rat-shack golds-they sound good but one end uses 90 degree connectors and they block off some things on my amplifier. I haven't found anything that is as good a bargain as these cables so I'm looking into video cables.

I have tried audio/video cables for both applications and saw no difference whatsoever. That is, I have tried audio cables as component cables and vice versa with results being virtually the same. One cable is supposed to be 50 ohms and the other 75 ohms. Apparently in my system it makes no discernable difference.

I used 3 audio cables as component video cables just as a test (curiosity). The HDTV I connected them to was a Hitachi 65S700. The results were excellent.
