It's a hot debate right now in other threads.
Personally, I think you'd have a tough time noticing a difference. Also, I'm beginning to think hdmi is overrated. They fall out of the receiver easily, which is my biggest peeve. My dvi was bulkier, but it never budged once the screws were snug.
Use your component and hdmi cables and enjoy your new toy for the evening. Who knows? Maybe you won't even bother with the hdmi cable!
