hi all,

love this forum. i've learned a lot thus far. i have nearly finished buying what i need for my HT system. I have Energy Take 5 for the speakers and a denon 1610. what is left is a sub. my room is 14x13 but it opens to the dining room which makes it a bit longer so 24 ft. but i live in an apartment so i can only play it so loud. but ideally i'd spend 1-200, but if spending a few more dollars really means a measurable gain...then i'd consider it.

at this point the dayton sub120 is my lead contender.

thanks!!!

I dunno....

Maybe it's just me, but if you're in an apartment........buying a sub probably isn't such a good idea.

my 2 cents..

Thats hands down the best option. However you are either going to be disappointed that you can't play it loud enough or evicted unless you have have deaf neighbors.

Dayton and TSC are the best bets under $200 IMO. The Dayton 120 should do fine.
