I have a Samsung 4665F LCD and a Yamaha DV-S5950 Upconvert DVD. The picture has been pink shaded since Day 1 of hook up. I replaced the HDMI cable, replaced the DVD player, checked settings, and still pink. HDMI works fine from my cable box in any input into the TV. Has any one heard of compatability issues between samsung and yamaha, or between yamaha and cobalt HDMI cables. I am totally clueless at this point. DVD works fine with RGB cables. i just dont under stand. Please advise

Have you tried plugging the DVD player into a different HDMI input on the TV? The input you have it plugged into could be to blame. Also, have you tried the dvd player on another panel besides yours? Have you contacted Yamaha or Samsung to see what they say?

I tried all three HDMI inputs on the TV with the DVD player to no avail, and I have contacted samsung and they said it was the DVD player since the Cable box w/HDMI works, and yamaha said it could be a bad cable or DVD player and to test it on another panel. I tried to DVD with the cable on my buddies Maxent plasma and it worked fine, which lead me to believe it was a compatiblility issue between the tv and dvd player. I dont know what else to do. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

I did a little looking online. It seems as if some of the newer Samsung LCDs have this problem. You should call Samsung and tell them you found others with this problem and see how you can get your firmware upgraded. You might just have to take the TV back and get one that rolled off the line more recently.
