Community Involvement

Just curious if anyone here gets involved in their community by attending city council meetings or other events. My city (over 100,000 population) sent out flyers inviting residents to discuss housing. Basically this town wants to re-zone every vacant lot or warehouse space for apartments, etc.

Retired in 2008 and Community volunteer involvement up until 2021: Boys and Girls Club, Teachers Aid, Part-time driver for local Veterans Shelter, Big Bros/Sisters, YWCA Women's Shelter with Children, and CASA. 14 great years with community involvement/volunteering.
