Comcast got into contract with Tivo in 2005, but it is barely making its way into Chicago area. I continue getting approached by my customers (who until this day use generic Tivo boxes - usually with Comcast cable cards), wanting to know if the new Comcast-Tivo DVR’s are any good. I have tried doing research online and I get mixed results. Some people say the platform is great, some that it is very slow and full of bugs. I am trying to find out as much as possible to be able to post it on my local blog and ease Chicago based Tivo-Lovers minds. If you have any experience with Comcast-Tivo DVR’s, please share it here.
