Never had an issue till just now. Regular channels are choppy, and HD gets the "ne moment please" message on my HD DVR. I checked all the wiring and replaced the splitters and still nothing. The cable is Quad RG6. I already exchanged the STB and stil nothing. Any ideas?

Call the cable company.

If you are sure it isn't your wiring, then it is likely on them. I had similar issues (as I'm sure others have) where cable has started acting weird. I told them that my high speed internet was dropping at random times for no obvious reason.

The guy came in and started talking about internal wiring, but then I explained to him that it had been working perfectly for months and I had made no changes to my system.

He still switched out all my crimp on F connectors with compression type.

Great.

When that did nothing, he actually tested the incoming signal to find out...

...TO MUCH SIGNAL!

Yes, my house was actually being over-driven which was causing the gear to have issues and the cable company needed to dial things back from their distribution point (a few houses away).

Charge to me? Zero

So, if you are 90%+ sure it isn't your fault and the issues just 'cropped' up then give the cable company a call. They should have the gear and testing equipment to make sure that things get corrected. If it isn't internal to your home, it is not going to cost you a penny.

If you have not changed your hardware, then it's Comcast's problem to figure out I would think. When I first got Comcast the TV was fine, both HD and Std, but it took them three visits to get the broadband connection working right.

Tomorrow? On a weekend, holiday weekend? At least they try to fix things in a hurry:D Actually, come to think of it, they tried to come to me on a Sunday to check out a complaint:D but told them it can wait until Monday.

While it took them three tries to get the broadband working properly (the boss came for the last visit) Comcast has always been very responsive to me 24/7.

This happens to me every now and then, along with the cable box being REALLY slow and unresponsive (the guide takes 5 seconds to come up, etc). Unplugging it and plugging it back in usually fixes the problem, though i'm not sure what causes it (it happens probably once a month).

me tooooo

I have experienced similar issues, sluggish, slow, and I do the same thing, unplug and it goes back to normal. It must reboot itself. I thought I was only one with this issue.
