alright heres the deal. i have a dell pc with windows xp. i have an audigy 4 soundcard on it, and also have 5.1 surround sound for the computer curtosy of logitech. It produced great sound. However, there is also a stereo in this room and i decided to compare the sound from my 5.1 speakers to the stereo. so all the 5.1logitech computer speakers were unplugged and i plugged the stereo into my sound card. it has two cambridge soundworks speakers on a yamaha stereo. i have kept the stereo because althoug it only has two speakers, the bass is much more satisfactory at high volumes than the bass in the logitech 5.1 surround sound. However, after settling with just the stereo for some time (keep in mind im playing stuff from my computer to the stereo) i decided it is a waste to leave these 5 great speakers unused here. And this is what it comes to, my goal is to somehow keep the stereo hooked up the soundcard so the sound plays through the stereo, but at the same time reconnect the 5.1 speakers to it as well, in totally having 7 speakers. (and maybe two bass, if im extra lucky). at first i thought it would be simple for my friend has done a similar thing, yet his set up includes 2 computer speakers and 5 stereo speakers. is there anyway to do this. willing to by equipment and for the love of god, please help. much appreciated.

you can hook up the sereo speakers thru the front main connections on your logitech system for 5.1 surrond with your stereo intigrated. this will only work if you have a logitech z5500 system with a regular speaker wire interconnect. if you do not have the said logitech system you can get a rca to speaker wire converter. I believe the only problem with this set up is that the stereo set intigrated will be limited by the speaker systems crossover. it might not so try it.

the only other thing i can think of is to by a coax y splitter and send 1 end to each speaker set.

gl and tell me how it goes
