Yeah I really wish I could move it down but the front entertainment rack is too high. Maybe I can find a way to move the center channel into the rack. What do you think of that idea? Then it can be lowered about 7 more inches.

What I did with my plasma was move the equipment to its own rack off in the corner and put the center channel on a shelf below the screen.

You could also build a Flexy rack - http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/flexye.html - to replace the one you have, and make it a little bit shorter. These things are brain-dead easy to make and look pretty good.

Of course, if the height of the screen doesn't bother you then there's no reason to go through the trouble is there ;)

Yeah I'd love to make the screen lower. Unfortunately I spent $100 on that entertainment center from IKEA about 2 years ago and I want to keep it until I can put it somewhere else. If I could do it all over again I'd make that Flexy rack! That rack is so cool looking.

Very nice! I plan on adding a projector to my setup once I have some extra cash and the space. Right now the dorm just isn't cutting it for theater space.

Nice! Another Energy system.

How do you find the C-3s with the C-C1? I know my C-1s blend like crazy with it, but its all the same drivers.

I had an E:xl subwoofer too, the S8. Not bad, but to small to get low with any dBs.

I think it sounds great - it's just amazing how much of a difference a better center channel will do in a home theater set up! It was common for people to use the C-7's with a C-C3 and that center channel is quite a bit "inferior" if you were to consider it's frequency response - yet it still works great as a center.
