Enjoy!

Here's my setup, this semester it's in a two story 500+ sq. ft. triple, pending a center channel and according amp to complete foreseen improvements (hopefully).

First of all, the equipment list:
Sources
Home Theater PC (Turion 64 2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 7300GT, 500GB HDD, VGA to TV)
Comcast HD receiver (Motorola DCT6200 HDMI to TV)
Sony PlayStation 2 (Component to TV)
XBox (Component to TV)
Gamecube (Composite to TV)
Dreamcast(Composite to TV)
Television
Olevia 337H 37" LCD 1366x768
Pre/Pro
Marantz AV-500 5-channel Preamp
Kenwood KCA-101 Crossover
Behringer FCA-202 (2-ch FireWire sound card)
Amp
AdCom GFA-555mkII rack mount edition
Audiosource 5.1A (Coming soon for the center)
Speakers
Axiom Audio M22Ti (L&R)
Center is undecided, probably an Elemental Designs A6-5T5-MTM or Hsu Research HC-1, unless I work alot and earn the extra change for an Axiom VP-100
Sub
Hsu Research STF-1

The sound routes through the Marantz' main L&R preouts, then goes to the crossover. Here, it splits the signal into high and low frequencies, not very efficiently, since it is meant for car audio duty and is mooching power off of the PC's power supply. From here, the highs travel to the AdCom, and the lows go to the woofer. The future center will be driven right off of the Marantz, through its center preout.

Cords are scrounged together from anywhere and everywhere. From the **** that comes with components in the box to a 60ft RCA pair I pulled from a car, the interconnects are all a disaster. Someday I'll get a PCI sound card and use a digital out to a D/A converter, but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Alright, here's the good stuff, just click the thumbnails to embiggen!:

This is a broad shot of all my equipment. To the left is my roommate's TV, and the current residing area of the Wii and the PS2

The sub, which is actually in a perfect spot behind the ladder to the second story, an area that's almost acoustically transparent, allowing the sub to play cleanly throughout pretty much the entire room.

The HTPC is on the bottom. On top of it on the left is the receiver for the wireless KB/M, to the right is the Behringer IEEE1394 sound card. On the shelf above it is the DCT6200 cable box.

This is a fancy side shot of the Marantz. I couldn't get a good clean shot of it from any other reasonable angle.

This is the TV, showing foobar2000 playing. The rainbows are a product of something that the human eye can't detect, and probably a collaboration of the angle and the lens.

The XBox, Gamecube, and Dreamcast, with the component/composite selector. This is all underneath the TV.

Some of the DVDs and games we've got.

The roommate's TV.

The PS2 and Wii

A shot from the door, walking in. My TV is to the immediate right of the camera, the roommate's is on the facing wall to the right. The device in the center is the room hookah - tends to make the room a bit hazy when in use, but generally bolsters the ambiance overall.

This is the view I see from my desk. Some say two 37" LCDs are overkill. They don't know what they're talking about.

well, we do have a pair of rats that live above the blower in the kitchen...We just vacuumed this afternoon though so the room for the most part is (now) clean, unless this night destroyed it already. I blame the crap on the rug on extensive room modifications while moving in, though

Nice bong! I bet everyone likes to hang at your place...(cough, cough) man...

Just kidding, I don't have that nice of stuff now! When I was in college I had to spend my earnings on books and beer. Nice setup, and if you can fit 2 37" LCDs into your place, keep 'em! Who cares what anybody else says. It only matters what you and your roomate think. It's a nice setup, alot better than some of the places my buddies lived in during the college years!

Nice room.

Whats that on the table? ;)
I don't understand the people making pot references. That's obviously a hookah, and it looks like he has a tub of hookah tobacco, and the hookah is set up for tobacco use, as is evidenced by the foil over the top.

I thought it was a bong too, but decided to wait until someone else pointed it out (I knew someone would!).

Now nobody has mentioned the little black rubber object on the table in the first picture...

You mean the table up against the wall and the object to the right of the xbox.
How about the lotion in the basket in the right of the first picture as well. :p
It puts the lotion in...

Ahhhh, seems like some recreational activities are going on there. (and you called that small?)

BTW- might that "tobacco" smoking device be filled with a little absinthe?

I also must point out that the "black rubber object" seen in pic#1 is conspicuously missing in pic#6!

He must have realized that some things are best left out of the picture.

[Narrator's bags have just been confiscated]
Narrator: Was it ticking?
Airport Security Officer: Actually throwers don't worry about ticking 'cause modern bombs don't tick.
Narrator: Sorry, throwers?
Airport Security Officer: Baggage handlers. But, when a suitcase vibrates, then the throwers gotta call the police.
Narrator: My suitcase was vibrating?
Airport Security Officer: Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while...
[looks around, leans in conspiratorially]
Airport Security Officer: ...it's a dildo. [leans back] Of course it's company policy never to imply ownership; in the event of a dildo, always use the indefinite article "a dildo", never "your dildo".

The 'black rubber object' does not look like a pipe. See the post by macsupra76 for what we think it is.
