Code Numbers on Speakers...

Hello all, thought this may get more exposure here, than in the DIY thread.

I have a question about the code numbers that are printed on the back of drivers.
They seem to usually appear on the magnet.
A number like: D-0307006 8-ohm, for example.
Is there a way to cross-reference these numbers, to find out the actual manufacturer?
Or even Thiele-Small data?

Thanks,
Rick

Seriously, I have no life.
The EIA uses a 3 digit code to indicate the manufacturer.

Use this link to find them:

If the code starts with a letter, it's usually a part number. Once you find the manufacturer, you may be able to contact them about the speaker.

That list may be a bit old. Some of the makers are no longer in business.

If you can't find what you need on it, you could post the same question on the Parts Express Tech Talk Forum. You may find someone there who knows. And you may also find someone there who is near you and can directly measure the TS parameters on your drivers.
