Cobalt for my setup

I am setting up a basic home system. Have purchased all but the wiring.

Sony Wega plasma. Basic THX receiver(kenwood) 7 speaker THX Mirage speaker setup.

Was looking at all Cobalt wiring. nay opinions??

I'm pretty sure that Cobalt Cables and Straightwires are unaffiliated.

Now as far as my opinion about Cobalt Cables...solid product, that performs well and looks pretty. Not the best ROI in relationship to raw performance.

First you must ask yourself these questions.

1. How important is performance?
2. How important is looks?
3. How much more am I willing to pay just for looks?

If your only objective is raw performance you'll get a better ROI by purchasing something from mononprice, and if you want all out performance go bluejeans.

If looks are important and you like the looks of Cobalt than you cant go wrong. Just beware that the extra scratch that you are spending is for the looks not the performance of the cable.

performance is all that matters as the cables are in the wall. thanks for the advice, i will check out blue jeans and monoprice

For in-wall applications I would go with Belden 5T00UP with some of the best pricing available found here.
