Looking to attach a 3.5mm mini plug directly to coax rg6. Does anyone make a connection either in compression or crimp?

If no, how is the best way to do this?

There are definitely cables and/or adapters that go from 3.5 to RCA.
Parts express:
Stereo - 181-594
Mono - 090-291

Then you could use an RCA to F or use a compression type RCA on your coax.

To augment J.Garcia's post, I believe it'll take at least two steps.

Here's an RCA crimp-on connector for RG6 cable. There may be others but it's up to you to ferret 'em out. They ain't common.

From here you'll need an RCA to mini-plug adapter such as those Mr. Garcia pointed out.

If you want to go from *stereo* 3.5mm plug to RG6, you'd need two RG6 cables.

Actually, nowhere in the post does he specifty stereo.

I'll cut him a break and assume he knows what he's asking for here. It may be for an antenna input. I've seen some stuff* that actually needs a mini plug for an RF input.

but, yes, if he really means stereo, then he's gonna need two RG6 cables and he's kinda up that proverbial narrow flowing body of water without a means of propulsion.

* a cheapo 8" LCD TV "valued at $500" we got for sitting through a time share talk. Yeah, $500 by whose value system?

I know he didn't specify stereo. He didn't specify anything, which is why I was pointing out that he would need two for stereo. That's all :)

3.5mm stereo is three conductor - left, right, and ground.

RG6 only gives you 2 conductors, which is why you can mate a single RCA connector to it.

You can't connect two RCA connectors (red and white, or left and right audio) to a single RG6 cable. You need two RCA connectors to carry the signal from a stereo 3.5mm plug.

Thanks. Now that I think about it, that's absolutely correct.

As J. Garcia pointed out, 3.5 m plugs come in both mono (2 band) and stereo (3 bands). What were you trying to accomplish?
