Does this bookshelf really kick *** like the website says?
I was directed to their website while researching B&W 684's.
I heard the B&W's and have a hard time believing these little speakers stand up to them.
If I could get sound like the 684's for under $700 w/stands, I'd bite.
This is my home for advice so what do you say about these?

Ummmm........are you referring to the CMT-340 SE's or just the original 340's? I have owned the 340 SE's and can tell you that they really are that good. I liked them better than I did my Paradigm Studio 20 v.3's. The 340 SE's are built like tanks and are quite heavy. BTW, I never cared for the Paradigm Studio 40's. That is why I did not mention them. The Studio 20 v.3's and the 340 SE's are the absolute best speakers I have owned to date. For the money, it is very hard to beat the Ascends imho. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Phil
