HI I was wondering if it is a big problem to have my front LR speakers only about 2 feet apart. The best place for me to put them is to mout them on the sides of my TV stand, its only about 2-2.5 feet wide.

If you have a tube set you might encounter some pretty rainbows on your TV if the speakers aren't shielded. Something you may want to check out before you go through any trouble.

2-2.5 feet is not an ideal placement, since it will drastically reduce speaker imaging and soundstage, but that really only matters if you're serious about the sound.
