Cleaning projector filters

Dear all,

Whilst perusing projectorcentral.com, I noticed that they recommend cleaning the filters of a projector every couple of months or so. This came as a bit of a shock since I have now had my Screenplay 5700 DLP for approximately seven months and not cleaned the filters once.

I looked up the manual, as I couldn't remember this requirement ever being mentioned, and sure enough, it isn't. The only thing it does explain, is how to remove a bottom panel to replace the bulb.

Should I be cleaning the filters?, and if so, how? The bottom panel (as far as I am aware) is for replacing the bulb, not for cleaning any filters.

Regards

Don't worry about it...

Some projectors (Including yours, I'm guessing) have sealed light paths, meaning they don't need filters.
