Looking for a great integrated amp to start your two-channel hi-fi system? The Canadian manufacturer Classe, of The B&W Group along with Rotel, debuted he 2200i Integrated Amplifier this month with a price point of $5,500. It has a host of features and AV connectivity beyond most traditional integrated amplifiers and boasts some impressive power output into 4 ohm loads.

Is this is yet another great addition to Classe’s truly audiophile line of products or just an overpriced integrated amp? Read on to find out.

Anyone have any information on their Chinese manufacturing facilities? Been curious since they moved production overseas.

Oooo, how'd ya like me now?!

See, I new a lot of companies will try and fill this niche. A lot of small rooms out there begin' for some 2.1 and a lot of digital material begin' for some decent DAC's. I should perhaps just wait a year as some manufacturers get lost on the way, meaning; you can find a 2.1 amp (with sub out) but with no power (I guess they're meant for desktop config), then the next model has power but no DAC, then the next in line has DAC but it's pure 2.0 stereo...

It should be simple; 2x100 into 8, good DAC inside and sub out with some form of bass management for a 1000$ and that's it.

This one is out of my reach and since it has touch screen It's of the list. I can't stand this "touch era" with all its greasy, glistening surfaces.

But, if Classe is your brand of choice and price is OK, the specs are all there.
