class A for subwoofer

hello is it okay to use a amp that is class A for use on a subwoofer? will it hurt anything.

Is this a joke or are you for real?

Class A amps are far too inefficient (25% or less) for high power applications such as a subwoofer. In addition, the higher linearity of such amps are not necessary for subwoofer applications.

I would say class D would be best for a sub app.
