Good day audiophiles!!

Looking for best way to stream tidal, spotify and play lossless multichan audio through my Onkyo TR SX 806.
I have 4 powered subs( 2 subs are line level 2 are lfe ) and 7 bookshelf and tower polk audio speakers in my theater. When I'm not watching bluerays I like to listen to music. My laptop outputs to onkyo via hdmi and outputs to tv via hdmi.

Here are some photos of my theater/party room.

What does the manual say? I'd say most likely no problem. What do you mean you have two line level and two lfe subs?

2 of my subs only have line level inputs other 2 have lfe. I use 2 sub ys at the avr and send out 3 20 foot lines to 3 subs and use a processor splitter at the 3rd sub to split off to last sub.

All the LFE setting on a sub really does is to take the sub's low pass filter out of the loop, you can achieve the same effect by turning it to its max value...

Did you find the answer in the manual?

I am going to be attempting to use a Rasberry Pi on my older 2.1 set up to accomplish this. They are inexpensive but are for pc enthusiast/tinkerer types.

the new receiver I am getting will have bluetooth and wifi / network capabilities.

To play multi channel audio you will need 1. audio media recorded in some sort of multi channel format, like SACD multi channel, and 2. a player for such. Today, there are a few Blu-ray players that output the SACD multi channel bitstream via HDMI. So, if your Onkyo has HDMI input, you should have no issue.
