I just bought a new condo that has me2650c? enclosures prewired to my equipment area. here is my questions

1.can most all round 6.5 speakers work in this enclosure? or is this enclosure for only certain speakers.

2. The room is about 14 by 20 with 5 speakers (cieling) can someone help me with some ideas of which speaker is best for this room. i would only like to pay about 125 or so a speaker.

Like my name says im new to this and have been looking at speakers for the last week and Im more confused then when i started.

any help would be appreciated

If there is already a cut-out for the speaker, any speaker that fits those dimensions will work. The complication comes in how that cut-out was created.

Most in-ceiling speakers have a requirement of being at least 1" from a ceiling joist or beam. You may have to get the dimensions of any speaker you are considering and verify that it will fit and cover the existing hole.

For example, my house was wired for two speakers in the ceiling but the builder used a standard j-box (the plastic box behind your wall outlets and switches). I bought in-ceiling speakers but if I had installed them, the grill of the speaker would not cover the rectangular cut-out of the j-box and I'd have to do extensive drywall work to make it look clean. So, I opted not to install speakers there at this time. That is the kind of thing that complicates matters.

more info

After talking to the builder who installed the enclosures (me-2650-c)?, they told me they were for Klipsch speakers, actually my question was can any or most 6.5 speakers work in these enclosures?
There is 5, front left and right, a center and 2 rear, the subwoofer is wired to a back wall behind the couch.

my budget for 5 speakers for the surround sound and woofer is 1000.00 .

do you build your speakers around your receiver, or figure what reciever your going to buy before picking speakers? any help is appreciated.Have patience we me on this.

In-ceiling speakers aren't typically placed into any kind of enclosure but if the ones you want will fit and the grill will cover any hole then you can use them.

ok

I have the enclosure figured out at this point abd know that most of the 6.5 speakers will work.
Since im real new at this and dont have a big budget this is what im thinkin for my surround system.
HDT Speakers, should I use the same speaker for all 5 flush cieling speakers l&r front, center and l&r rear ? , I have a Klipsch powered sub woofer already.

I have read the HDT is a ok speaker, or should I buy the Klipsch 6.5 2650.

If you don’t already have holes cut and fixtures in place for the front three speakers, I would recommend freestanding or in-wall speakers as opposed to ceiling mounts. The front speakers provide directionality or soundstage and should be mounted so they fire in the horizontal plane about ear height sitting down..
