chromeCast audio -> power amp

1) is this a good idea/feasible? I have a pair of b&w cdm1's and a velodyne sub I want to hook up to a power amp only.

2) If I can do this are there any power amps with optical Inputs? The chrome cast audio has optical out i would like to utilize.

3) Are there any power amps out there with sub out/ monitor out? That way i don't have to run the speakers through the sub.
regards,

I'd use the dac in the Chromecast Audio and analog out if you really just want to use a power amp. It wouldn't simply be a power amp if it had a dac, nor if it had a sub or monitor out. I have hooked up my Chromecast Audio directly to active speakers with the analog output and it worked well enough.

ps Do you mean integrated amp instead of power amp?

Makes sense. I could have sworn i have seen power amps with Monitor/sub/tape outputs. Makes sense that a power amp wouldn't have a DAC.

Thanks for the help.

All a power amp does is amplify (altho some pro-amps can have a dsp section or some other features, but no usable dac or other than speaker outputs). If it has a dac or a pre-amp section it's an integrated amp, which sounds like what you want....
