I remember seeing the commercials on TV for this when it first came out and since I like Jon Favreau, I was curious but wasn't about to spend the $$ to see it in a theater. I have it on my Netflix queue but yesterday, while cocooning at home while we got more snow, I found it on Netflix streaming. Lucky find.

Well, I have to say this is one of the best movies I've seen. the cast is marvelous, the writing is witty, the music is superb, and the direction is great. Considering it's all Jon's baby, I shouldn't be surprised. ...but I still was. It was THAT good.

There's no SFX at all, just a movie filled with warmth and heart, and more than a few laughs. You can tell the cast didn't see this as work, just sort of "jamming" with an old friend and you can feel the camaraderie. This one left me with a smile, both inside and outside.

A short movie, but it packs quite a wallop. I'm gonna buy this, and the soundtrack, and watch it when we're feeling down.

I saw it and really enjoyed it too. It's refreshing, now and again, to see a movie that tells a simple story with good acting and characters, minus all of the FX BS. I did see it in the theater and paid for a ticket and even liked it then.
