Do 'gold plated' connectors make much of a difference?
Even though Gold is known as a better conductor, is it like 0.000005% better audibly and therefore marketed at 'purists'. ( hmm...was going to use 'fanatics'- not around here tho ;-)
Well, gold's resistance is relative too
Silver is the best so far and copper is standard and assumed to be the reference at 100. So, silver is 105 or 106, depending on the tables, rounding off etc.
With that in mind, gold is at 65
, not so good at all but better than brass at 28
or lead at 7
So, not sure of your 'better' than...
As to audibility, again, you just cannot hear such small differences, no matter who makes that claim
Actually, it takes a pretty large difference to be audible
