ebay.

I just got a VPH-1020QM off there for £50.

Spent all week stripping it down, replacing old caps, cleaning and polishing all the innards and lenses, (t-cut is great for bringing shine back to acrylic lenses), i've sanded all the outer casing, primed and sprayed gloss white. It looks great and projects a good image, the best thing is that its totally silent, not a single fan.

CRT front projector prices are dropping like rocks as new standards for digital content protection get closer to the day of enforcement. If you plan on watching HD content, a projector with HDCP using DVI or HDMI connections is mandatory.:(

Otherwise, HD will be scaled down to 480p for component connections.
