I'm looking at purchasing my first home theater system, and I'm not going to have much money left after buying a receiver. Speaker selection is going to be limited :)

I've got access to a pair of old Cerwin Vega VS-120s. I also just saw a pair of CV 280se's some guy was selling for $30. I don't know anything about the 280se's. I was wondering how I should setup my speakers?

I was thinking to use the VS-120s as front mains, and a 280se as a center, and buy rears separately? Or should I throw one of the pairs as rears and buy a center and sub, and stick with just 5.1?

Oh, it's mainly going to be for movies. Not so much the music. :)
