hi i was thinking of replacing my acoustic research pr1010 sub's amp simply because the auto-on/off function doesnt work very well at least not with cable tv, just curious if get an amp that produces about the same amount of power that the current one does (175w) will it still produce the same frequencys it is rated to go down to 20hrtz well that is what it has been tested at anyway or does the amp have nothing to do with that other than power, is it the speakers and port that have to do with the frequencys?
thanks for any imputs or answers

As long as there is no Eq built into your current amp you will be fine.
