I have a friend that just upgraded his tv and wants to sell me his old one for cheap (not sure how cheap yet). It's a 43" Sony model kp43t75. I've read that it has burn-in issues. Anyone with any advice? How 'bout "it would be worth it if it was $XXX dollars".

It's helpful if you include a link to the product in question when asking advice about specific products. :)

I'm guessing it's a plasma but Sony did make a smaller RPTV. If there is no problem with burn-in now chances you are safe going forward. But you probably don't want to be playing video games on it or use it as a PC monitor. How much is he going to sell if for?

After all the lame-no-information-giving posts I've seen in the last 3 years on this board you'd think I'd know better. This is the link. Click on Manuals for more info. It's a CRT RPTV. Thanks for the slap-down Duff, I deserved it.

Anytime. ;)

Seriously, it's probably worth $300, $500 tops and that's only if you don't currently have an HDTV. Used RPTV's are a dime a dozen, expecially when you can get something like this for $1,400:
