I don't know much about the electronics world, trade shows and product introductions. In the camera world, new camera's are almost always debuted at a major show or in the days prior. The same seems to go for Macintosh exhibitions.
Does the AV industry typically introduce throughout the year or is their biggest push at CES?
I just took my Onkyo 604 back to Circuit City as I didn't like the way music played. It certainly seemed inferior to my HK AVR240 that I was trying to replace with an HDMI receiver. As many of you know HK's HDMI receivers won't accept audio so I can't get Dolby True HD from my HD-DVD player.
So do any enthusiasts or industry folk expect a bunch of new HDMI receivers like the Onkyo 604 to debut at CES? I am looking at the Marantz 4001 and Denon 2307 but I can wait until CES if new products are typically available right away. But if Audio companies are like Nikon and Apple who announce products months before they ship, I may get the Marantz or Denon if I can get a good price.
Thanks.
