Does anyone else have any of these speakers?

Anyone know where I can find some specs on these things? I haven't been able to find anything anywhere.

I first saw some 30 years ago and have wanted some ever since. Finally found a pair last week. Appears they're pretty darn rare now. Apparently they were around $1500 back in the '80's. I picked these things up for $400 for the pair and they're mint. The woofers were rebuilt/refoamed BY Cerwin Vega a few years ago and everything else is in great shape.....not even any dings or rubs on the cabinets.

Now I'm trying to learn more about this audio business and trying to determine what kind of amp I need to drive these bad boys.

I don't have any specs on them and can't find any info anywhere about them other than on the front they say "impedance 4-8 ohms".

If you have any of these....or know anything about them....what would you recommend?

Amazon.com: Crown XLS1500 Power Amplifier: Musical Instruments would be a good choice if you don't mind class d, I believe the 316rs were rated for 400 watts...

The most useful form for specs are graphs of frequency response (SPL [loudness] vs. frequency) and impedance magnitude vs. frequency. If we see them, we could make a reasonable guess why you overloaded your receiver's amp section.

Here are examples of those two graphs for a different Cerwin Vega speaker than what you have, the CLS-215:

This is all I've been able to find as far as specs go.
