Hello! i will now try to describe the problem as good as i can:

My PC is connected to my TV via HDMI and my tv has 3.5mm output. I then connect one of my recievers to my TV with a 3.5mm to RCA cable and it all works.

Some days ago i bought Centrum Titan 500. I tried to connect it to my tv the same way but i dont get any sound from the reciever. I thought that problem could be my 3.5mm to RCA cable which i soldered my self so i bought a new one but still nothing. My subwoofer has L and R input as well as L and R output. So i connected subwoofer to my TV and then connected Titan 500 to my subwoofers L and R outputs using RCA to RCA cable. This way im able to get sound from the reciever and it works well but there is one problem: in this case i cant controll sound on the subwoofer via recievers remote controll.

So my biggest question here is why does my reciver works only when connected with RCA to RCA cable but not 3.5mm to RCA?

Thankful for your answers and sorry for my bad english!

Assuming your TV’s 3.5mm output is an audio output, all you need is a 3.5mm to RCA splitter like this. Connect the two RCAs to an input on the Centrum and it will work. I’m also assuming you know how to set up and operate the Centrum, and that you have speakers.

In that case I’d suspect something is wrong with the receiver.
