Hey guys, I'm considering purchasing the Tannoy FC centre speaker, but I've have had a centre speaker before and have no idea what to check/how to know if my amplifier can take it, I don't know which connections they do or don't use!

I'm running a Rotel RA-01 amplifier, thanks in advance :)

No, you only have 2 channel amp

The Rotel RA-01 is only a two channel 2.0 amp. it can have two sets of speakers but nothing for a center speaker.

The center speaker is rated at 8 ohms and 90 dB ( pretty good efficiency) and can hande 10-90 watts, substained 70RMS.
You can bi-amp the low frequencies and the high frequencies, but you cannot separate left and right, so you couldn't use your second speaker connections. About the only thing you could do is conenct the center to the second set of either left or rigth speakers, but not both.

Good luck,

Thank you very much for the information, I was just checking out the option as it was going for cheap, I'll pass on it :)
