Would there be any adverse effects to putting my center channel speaker ontop of my sub?

Need more info (brands, sizes, etc.) In my case even though my center channel weighs 31lbs the sub would put it on the floor in no time which could damage the speaker. Sonically I would try to put some distance between the speakers. Most people put the subs in a corner to get more gain. This being the case, you would not want the center on the sub.

Why would you be putting your center on top of your sub? Is your subwoofer on top of your TV/entertainment center?

I think he has his tv on top of his sub and wants to place the center channel between them. I think I might have to try this I won't have to buy a tv stand the center channel would also shield the sub from the tv hmmmm... good frekin idea j/k. Seriously though don't do it first of all like someone said above the bass will shake the center channel off of it on to the floor could damage it.

Probably not but why have the sub in the center in the first place? No other location? Then try it and see.

It's true. The "Bass Module" has to run pretty far up into midrange frequencies becaus the response of the cubes is so lacking.
