Looking to build new 5.1 HT speaker system. Based on funds I will start with the fronts. This will be 70/30 movies. Family room is 18X20. Having read the many threads about how important the center speaker is and how it needs to match the other fronts has made me start to research center channel reviews. I am having a hard time deciding what to audition.
Budget is under $1,000 for all 3 speakers. I believe I like the bookshelf as opposed to the floorstanding. But am willing to listen...
I heard the Paradigm Mini monitor and was impressed with the clarity of the sound. I also heard RB-61b Klipsch which was very different with the Horn tweeter. I liked the sound but like many have said it can be hard on the ears after a while. I also listened to the PSB Alpha B1 which did not impress me, but I don't think the sales person knew what he was doing.
I like the axiom M3's reviews but am having a hard time finding any good reviews on the center channel vp100.
How do the Paridigm Atoms compare to the Mini?
Ascend Acoustics CMT-340 have also been on my radar.
