Center or Sub

I have my new receiver and speakers, and with the Christmas bonus, I have a bit more money left to spend.

I was wondering if I could only get one right now, should I get a center channel speaker or a subwoofer to go with my front speakers?

Well it's up to you, you're the only person who can judge your system's weaknesses. Do you have poor stereo imaging? Do you have poor deep bass or lack sufficient bass power?

Maybe you need neither.

you can phantom a center but you can't phantom a sub.
