Center Channel Stand...

Hi All...

I'm looking for a center channel stand for a Paradigm CC-270... I've been looking at something reasonably priced that will do the job on top of my Sony LCD Projection tv... here are the three that I found:

Lovan

Sanus

Omnimount

Does anybody have any experience and or comments with the quality of these...I assume any of them will do the trick, looking for less $... so I'm leaning towards the Sanus or Omnimount... but which one? Thanks.

No experience with any of those brands...but if you possess any carpenter (or welding) skills...make your own. I had a predicament with my Paradigm cc570 that I wanted to not only 1) sit below my 80" screen (and angle up towards my ears), but also 2) sit squarely between the legs of my 9' pool table. I built it out of scrap plywood and poplar and matte black paint (to match my Paradigms) that I had laying around. Cost: $0.00 and about two hours of my time. And it works (and is built) impeccably. Maybe this has helped.

I use the Omnimount with my 42 inch Sony RP LCD. It doesn't have any trouble holding the 22 pound Bic DV-53CLR center and, on occasion, an additional 11.6 pounds of fur, claws, and fangs... all without any deflection to the screen or back. just occasionally check the back pads. hot TV's can make the glue run and the pad might start sliding down the back of the TV..

NICE PICS DUDE... that's exactly what I wanted to see. I was leaning towards the Omnimount cuz it's the most inexpensive and seems to get the best reviews, however even from the pics it looks kind of shady. I didn't realize it uses glue pads... eeeeeks!

the Omnimount actually has Velcro on two pads which attach to the back of the TV. The other part of the pad is on the legs. The Velcro keeps the leg from trying to slide downward and back. None of this is visible unless you look at the back of the TV.

If you want a better, less visible approach, use a swing-arm TV mount from your wall to hold the center channel up over the TV

yes I have my center channel on a TV wall mount. My Center weighs about 60 pounds so the stands for the tops of TV's just wouldn't cut it. here is a pic.

Hey Max I desperately want to see your pics but I'm being blocked for some reason... which mount are you using? What do you think about the mounts I listed in the links above... what about this one:
