I have Bowers & Wilkins 685 S2 book shelf speakers and want to add a center channel, but don't want to pay $360 for one. Any suggestions on what would work best with the B & W units. thanks Brian

It is always recommended to match your front three speakers. I have yet to see any advice that differs from that approach. (Though no that I've invited it... :p)

At the end of the day... It is your system, ears, ducats, and enjoyment. You have to make that choice for yourself, whether you sacrifice sound quality for budget. ;)
