Center channel speaker to use with Wilson Sophia 2s

I'm totally new to this community and also to higher-end equipment and need advice if possible. I blew my budget to the moon by buying Wilson Audio Sophia 2s, a Lexicon RV-8 receiver and a Classe CDP-300 CD/DVD player along with a Pioneer Elite 60 inch plasma and need to try to come up with a solution for my center channel that I no longer have. I am running B & W in-walls for the rear, a Def Tech SuperCube II sub and just can't contemplate another $5000 for the Wilson WATCH center channel at this time. I would welcome any advice and ideas that anybody might be able to share with me. The setup actually sounds good without a center channel but I just feel like I have to have one for reasons beyond my explanation. Perhaps it's my O/C side coming out??

I know next to nothing compared to most of the folks here, but I'd hazard an opinion or two as I am online and doing nothing much of consequence.

1. Yes, it is your O/C expressing itself :). My experience with center channels is minimal, but if it sounds good without the center, let it run that way for a while. In the meantime, save up for that Wilson WATCH (I don't know what that is, but it had better be awesome for $5K). I'm sure most people here are going to tell you that you need to get a matching center anyway.

2. Again, I don't know much about subwoofers either and you didn't ask for an opinion but based on what I've read, I have a feeling that you might have done better for the money on your sub choice. Now if you auditioned this combination and found it to work great with your speaker set up, pardon my suggestion. Ultimately, if you like what you hear, all is well.

Finally, welcome (I should have said that first).

i appreciate you input

I appreciate your honest opinion and certainly respect that. I think you are right in that I need to just hold out and get the proper CC if I am going to get one at all.

As for the sub, it was a thing of convenience that I had it sitting around and decided to keep it instead of spending on something else. I know I can swing the Watch Dog sub from Wilson.

I am curious to know what you think would be a good choice that won't break the bank.

The Sophias have a pretty stout bottom end and I actually keep the sub turned way down because even though it's small it does have some punch. Most of my listening is music or music DVDs rather than HT DVDs that need all the whizzing bullets and ground shaking explosions.

As a new guy on the block I will welcome your thoughts on any topic at any time. This is all about opinions of what works and what someone knows doesn't work well for what ever reason.

Fire away my friend and thanks for the replay.

For some reason, you just dont put cheap tires on your Viper. Hold out for the center that matches your speakers.

Here's another vote for saving your money until you can get the matching center.
