Center channel recommendation?

Here is my current setup:

Sony DE597 receiver
Paradigm Monitor 9 fronts
Paradigm LCR-350 cc
Def Tech BP1X surrounds

I'd like to replace the 350 with a lower profile center channel as the 350 is too big to put on top of my rear projection tv (Toshiba 46HM94). Any recommendations? I figure I can use the 350 as the rear center speaker or would it be overkill with the bipolar def techs?

Thanks in advance,

Roy

There's no other perfectly matching center for the Paradigms. How tall is the 350? Maybe a newer 370 is shorter?

It's not the height so much as the depth and weight. The top of the tv is fairly narrow, depth wise.

Weight shouldn't be a problem, but depth could be. I have the same problem, my center is 38lbs. and is about 3x the width of the top of the TV. I used some speaker spike cones without the tips to raise it up, and keep it in place.

There are stands available that can help support the speaker. Sanus makes one, the TV-SB I think, and another company makes an even simpler one than that, that might do the trick. You want the center pulled out to the edge, or even hanging over just a bit, from the front edge of the TV.
