Center Channel and Sat recommendations for Denon 2807

I've (almost) ordered a Denon 2807 and I've heard the HSU VTF-3MK2 subwoofer in action and it is awesome, so I've also almost decided on one of HSU's subwoofers (but which one?)

Do the experts here have recommendations on Center channel and satellite speakers?

My living room is about 20ft wide X 15ft long X 10ft high and I'm hoping to spend less than 1-1.5K for the Center channel and satellites. I've read some of the recommendations in other threads, but my usage is slightly different. I'm hoping to use this system for music about 70% of the time. the rest for movies. I live in an apartment that doesn't have great sound insulations, so I'm not really looking for loudness. Clarity and crispiness would be nicer..kinda like the bose lifestyle demo systems in bestbuy/circuitcity.. (I know they suck in real life)

My BIL has Denon 3805 with HSU VTF-3 MK2 + eight Ventriloquist VT-12 speakers..this is fantastic for movies but I feel something missing when it comes to music...so though this setup is attractive, I don't think it works for me.

While we're at it, which HSU subwoofer would you guys recommend? I like the VTF-3 MK2/3, but I don't really own a night club (meaning may be a bit much for me)

And yea.. I can somewhat manage reasonably complicated set up processes..so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm looking for something that's not too bulky and heavy..which is making it harder for me to decide what to get...

Speaker options

You should be able to get some quality bookshelf speakers in your budget that will outperform satellite type speakers. Check out SVS, Axiom, and Onix (av123) online and Paradigm at your local dealer.

An Ascend Acoustics CBM-170/CMT-370 center system would be nice. The HSU VTF-2 should work well also.
