Center channel above or below TV?

<font color='#000000'>Is it better to have the center channel above the T.V. tilted downward just slightly or go have it below the TV aiming directly at your gut/chest.

I known this seems rather silly but I've seen many setups with the latter including my local av shop.</font>

<font color='#000000'>I'm not aware of any rule for the center channel except for it pointing (tilted) at the listening position.

I have mine on top of my TV with the door stops tilting so it points at the listening position.

My advice is to try both and see which sounds best.</font>

<font color='#0000FF'>I have a Yamaha NSC-300 tilted towards the listening position on top of my SONY 53&quot;. Luckily the SONY can take the weight of the speakers as they are huge for centers.</font>
