I'm trying to purchase speakers for my home. I plan on installing 1 speaker in the following rooms... office, dining, breakfast and kitchen. Do I need special speakers if they are alone in each room?? I was looking at the ERS310 by infinity.

I think you might want to go with 2 speakers per room. That way you get stereo sound. Otherwise you will only hear one channel and that might sound weird depending on the source.

Plus 2 speakers will fill the room more evenly.

If space is a concern or if you were going to only want one speaker (and you will run a pair of speaker wires), you could get "Single Point Stereo" speakers such as these.
