Ceiling Mount Surround

Hi All,

I've got a small problem with my home theater. I'm using the Family Room (16'-1" x 19'-10") in the attached picture for my HT (that's the large room in the lower left of the drawing. I'll try to get a better picture for you). My projector will be ceiling mounted and thrown onto the the 16'-1" wall. All of my speakers will be in-wall except my sub. My problem is the surround speakers. I don't believe that I have enough room to mount them on the side walls given that one of the side walls is only 9'-1". Is it ok to ceiling mount the surrounds a bit farther back in this configuration?

BTW, the ceiling is 9' in this room. Thanks for looking!

You could do that, but I don't think your getting the perfornance you paid for. Although, at 9', they might just have the right amount of diffusion. If you can return those surrounds, you could use the CCM-626s for in-ceiling mounting with great results since you're running a 5.1 setup .
